Safety & Emergency Information

Trail access in northern Maine may include remote areas with limited cell service. Riders should plan accordingly and be prepared before heading out on longer rides.

Accident Response

If an accident occurs:

  1. Ensure your own safety and, if possible, move off the trail to prevent further collisions.
  2. Call 911 immediately if there are injuries or a serious emergency.
  3. Clearly communicate your location using trail numbers, intersections, landmarks, or GPS coordinates if available.
  4. Remain with the injured person until help arrives, unless staying would create additional danger.
  5. Avoid moving injured riders unless necessary to prevent further harm.
