Since 1996, the Caribou Snowmobile Club has supported winter recreation in Caribou and surrounding communities by maintaining more than 100 miles of groomed trails. Based in the heart of Aroostook County’s snowmobile country, the club serves as a hub for riders traveling between communities and connecting to regional trail systems. With more than 140 members, including local businesses, the organization works alongside landowners and the City of Caribou to keep trails accessible, well-marked, and regularly updated. Through memberships, events, and fundraising, the club reinvests directly in the trail system and the local community.

We work closely with the City of Caribou to support trail maintenance and equipment needs. This partnership helps reduce municipal costs while improving trail quality and supporting winter tourism.
From the annual Radar Run to involvement in initiatives like Cars About Kids, we create opportunities for the community to connect while supporting local causes, scholarships, and trail funding.
Our volunteers make it all possible. From grooming and maintenance to signage, events, and trail reporting, their efforts keep the system safe, accessible, and running smoothly all season.

The Caribou Snowmobile Club was established in 1996 by local riders who recognized the need for organized trail oversight and long-term access across northern Aroostook County. As snowmobiling participation increased, the club stepped forward to coordinate grooming, protect key trail connections, and foster cooperation with private landowners.
Over time, the organization expanded its trail network, strengthened partnerships, and invested in equipment and volunteer support. Today, it continues to serve as a steady and reliable presence in the region’s winter recreation landscape.
